Where Are You Planning On Going For College - 978 Words
ââ¬Å"Where are you planning on going to college?â⬠This is a question most will encounter when in their four years of high school in the United States of America. By the time high school students are seniors they are expected to know the college degree that will best suit their future career. Many of these students, not knowing the exact career they want to achieve, will pick a major to study in college that interests them. However, they generally have little to no experience in the career path they pursue, making it easy for them to change their minds. Changing majors after taking courses can be an enormous waste of time, money, and effort, so instead of diving straight into college after high school, high school graduates should get a job in the career field they are interested in for a few years before enrolling in college. Although school guidance counselors may advise against taking time off of school, after experiencing different career options students will have a bette r idea of where they want to go with their college and career paths. College is expensive in the United States of America. Even with scholarships and financial aid college often costs thousands of dollars for the average two year degree. It becomes even more costly when college students change majors and have to retake credit hours. In order to receive the most benefit from the money placed into earning a degree, a student should have work experience in his or her field of interest before choosing a major.Show MoreRelated Four Functions of Management Essay770 Words à |à 4 PagesFour Functions of Management Abstract The four functions of management, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, are very essential in building strong organizations and even stronger more effective teams.
